He is an internationally well-known innovator in the field of eye surgery. Several eye surgeries he performed as the first eye surgeon in the world and a number of eye operation methods were first introduced in the Czech Republic by him. He lectures at prestigious international ophthalmic congresses and teaches courses for foreign ophthalmologists.
