Dr. Stodůlka lecturing at ESCRS in Barcelona
Dr. Stodůlka was one of the few nominated to give a talk at the prestigious Bausch & Lomb symposium at the ESCRS (European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons) Congress in Barcelona. There he gave a talk on “The New 3rd generation VICTUS® femtosecond laser platform”, further confirming his position among leading eye surgeons from Great Britain, Spain or the Philippines.
At the ESCRS Congress that took place from 5th to 9th September, Dr. Stodůlka gave a total of 12 presentations and workshops. The topic of his presentations included for example the presbyopic phakic lens, which he implanted last year in the Gemini clinic in Zlín as the first in the world. This lens, which allows patients for whom laser surgery is not suitable to get rid of glasses for both short and long sightedness, was developed by a leading British producer of intraocular lenses in cooperation with the Gemini clinic. Furthermore, Dr. Stodůlka chaired a prestigious symposium within the congress that introduced a new trifocal lens by the Dutch manufacturer VSY Biotechnology, where he presented the first clinical experience with this new lens.
