On the occasion of the holiday on October 28, eye surgeon Stodůlka was awarded a Czech state award
On the national holiday of October 28, state merits were awarded to seventy-eight influential personalities at Prague Castle. The founder of the Gemini Eye Clinic network, Pavel Stodůlka, received the Medal of Merit for services to the state in the field of science. This is not the first public award for the Czech eye surgeon. Ten years ago, the Senate awarded him a Silver Medal.
Dr. Pavel Stodůlka on the state award: "I try to do my job as best as possible for the benefit of patients, and I enjoy advancing the possibilities of eye surgery. I'm not doing it for the medals. Still, I appreciate all the awards I've received. The state award honors the entire team of colleagues at the Gemini clinics and me. I try to combine the quality of health care with a human approach and innovations in surgical procedures in our clinics. Czech eye surgery is among the best in the world. Last year, we managed to start producing our own Czech artificial intraocular lenses, thousands of which have already been implanted. In addition, this year, we opened an eye tissue bank for corneal transplants and developed our artificial cornea. And we have some other innovations planned."
