Stodulka Introduced a New Method of Intraocular Lens Modification
Chief eye surgeon Dr. Pavel Stodulka recently represented the Czech Republic at two important international events, where he presented innovative procedures and achievements.
At the WOC Congress in Vancouver, Stodulka chaired seven sessions as chairman and organized the symposium of the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery (AECOS). During the congress, he delivered six lectures, including a major contribution commemorating the 75th anniversary of the first intraocular lens implantation.
He also spoke about a new method of intraocular lens modification using a laser directly inside the eye. This revolutionary technology, which is currently in clinical trials, allows selected patients to have their lenses fine-tuned after implantation to achieve the most accurate vision correction or to remove residual refractive errors. This breakthrough is the result of intensive collaboration between Gemini's team of experts, including doctors, developers, and technicians, who are constantly striving to push the boundaries of modern ophthalmology.
The second event, the European ESCRS Congress in Barcelona, was also attended by several doctors from the Gemini clinic, where Dr. Stodulka presented further findings in the field of intraocular lens modification using lasers. As part of the innovation session, he also introduced the development and production of a new generation of Pollux Nova intraocular lenses, which offer patients even greater precision and comfort.
